Eating seafood can reduce the risk of heart disease

A study published in the European Journal of Nutritional science shows that eating seafood once or twice a week can reduce the risk of heart metabolic diseases in elderly men. This study titled "Prospective association between dietary quality, dietary composition, and cardiovascular metabolic risk in elderly men in the UK" was published on June 19th. This is the latest research result of a 20-year global survey on cardiac metabolism in elderly people.

The study found that men aged 60 to 79 who eat seafood once or twice a week have a lower risk of suffering from a variety of heart Metabolic disorder, including hypertension, diabetes or cardiovascular diseases. In addition, people who eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and seafood have a lower risk of stroke, coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
